N*E*R*D – Paco Rabanne

Creative Search, Licensing, Music Supervision

2017 opened a new chapter in Paco Rabanne’s flagship product collection, ‘MILLION’, with a warmer, younger and more playful story to showcase the fabulous Million fantasy. This called for a new music identity, and our challenge was to help the brand find quality mainstream appeal with a crossover sound to tell the story presented by Jordan Barrett and Sophia Ahrens in the images, the young rebels who dance the audacious, gold lifestyle.

Our search led to N*E*R*D; the alternative project of 10-time Grammy award-winning timeless artist Pharrell Williams. Their song, Hot-n-Fun, first released in 2010 and featuring Nelly Furtado, is one of those ahead-of-its-time gems that combines the familiar confident sensuality of Pharrell’s vocals with risqué funk-rock energy, and was the wining option to communicate Paco Rabanne’s values of being a fragrance for the glamorous, the rebellious, the hot and the fun.

“To a new day, People don’t want to think no more, they just want to feel. They want to let go” – Hot-n-Fun, N*E*R*D
