Every year, French NGO 30 Millions d’Amis launches its annual campaign “Non à l’Abandon” (No to Abandon) to build awareness of the shocking reality of dogs being abandoned and mistreated. The NGO has been working for more than 20 years on animal protection and has been at the forefront of the promotion of a new law that recognizes animals as living, conscious beings in their own right.

Using a retrospective narrative, the film portrays a dog rescuing its owner from a car accident after having been abandoned in the countryside. The campaign plays on the core idea that dogs truly are man’s best friend and loyal companion, and encourages viewers to treat dogs respectfully.

The film was soundtracked by The Cinematic Orchestra’s beautiful, powerful song “Arrival of the Birds”, showing their support for this great cause.
